Pilates Body by Valentin (PBBV) accommodates only California-made Balanced Body Equipment: In January 2012, a fleet of eight Balanced Body Allegro 2 Reformers each complete with the Tower System, mat conversion board and jumpboard were the newest addition to the studio.  The “Allegro 2” features the versatile “infinity bar” which slides from footbar to tower end allowing for more upper-body training and ability to accommodate smaller/larger clients. Nine Combo Chairs with split pedal, two “EXO” Chairs, two Core-Align units with ladders, and a Trapeze Table (Cadillac) are also part of the studio equipment. Pilates Mat classes are offered using a variety of small apparatus (roller, ring, ball, weights, discs, bands, and dowels). Traditional as well as Pilates-evolved contemporary exercises on the mat and equipment are accessible six days a week.  Novices and experienced Pilates practitioners are welcome to participate in both classes and/or private sessions.

Private sessions for athletes such as golfers, cyclists, skaters, swimmers and dancers are available upon request. The Balanced Body Tower System (half-trapeze table) allows for the multi-planar training in various vertical environments that is needed for specific sports. Conveniently scheduled early morning, lunchtime and after-work classes are programmed for the employed.

We have a committed dedication to the health of our senior population and youth. Therefore, we offer a 10% discount on classes to teens ages 13-18 and seniors age 65 and over.

In order to reap the true benefits of Pilates, it is recommended that Pilates be practiced two or three times per week. Though one can register for four classes per month, an eight class package is highly recommended to facilitate progress in the Pilates method. A private session and a group class per week is ideal but not required. The investment that you devote to your mind and body per week is well worth the effort in years to come.
